A Good Picture Can Speak a 1000 Words!

Selling a home is all about getting the home ready to sell and making sure all the details are completed prior to listing the property.  Even a good house can look better when you apply staging.  Whether the home is occupied or vacant, staging will always improve the value of the home.

After the home has been primped and prepped it's time to sell it. We have all seen pictures taken by Realtors or their staff that really don't represent the home or the client well. So, if you are not using a professional service for your photos you should be! With SO many people searching for their new home using the Internet a good picture might be your first and last opportunity to sell the home.

In addition virtual tours are a wonderful way to show off the size of each room and the actual layout and a great way to show off what you and the homeowner have done to get the home ready to be sold!

A picture can speak a thousand words and will help to get the SOLD sign posted!  Take time to get good pictures.

As an appraiser; it would help me greatly if all listings had more photos

As a prospective buyer right now; it would help me greatly if all listings had more photos

As a service provider for www.floorplanonline.com it would help me greatly if all listings had more photos provided by me! I take high quality photos and provide floor plans for interactive virtual tours that are a step above the rest...go check them out on their website. While I'm biased to them, any quality photos are a necessity.

ps. Even if you don't use professional photography, take photos for all listings, it is not only a service to your clients, it is a service to your RE community who will be using these as comps for CMA'a and appraisals and showings.

You are SO right!  I hate the listings without photos.  They don't have to be professional quality but the photos are needed so badly.

Real estate agents hate to spend money on listings.  Of course we all think we are all good photographers, appraisers and such.

Hi Karel -- This captures it for me, as you wrote: "Whether the home is occupied or vacant, staging will always improve the value of the home."  The difference between a call back and a sale can be the result of how well the house is staged, particularly in today's "bargain hunting" market.

P.S. I did receive your message and will respond later.

Good reminder, Karel!  My stager's expertise is SO valuable to my overall success in selling homes, especially in our current market.  One of my recent sellers is fond of saying, "We did everything Linda (my stager's name) said to do, and our house sold in 4 days"!!   Good pictures are crucial, too.  The old adage, "A picture is worth a thousand words", is definitely true in the real estate business!
