Lebanon's Colony 7 CinemasWarren County Ohio Movie Theaters

Want to see the latest flick?  If you want to stay strictly in the Warren County borders you've got two choices:

Lebanon's Colony 7 Cinemas or Mason's Regal Cinema's Deerfield Towne Center Stadium 16.

There's a world of difference between the two theaters.

Colony 7 is located in nook in Lebanon's Colony Square strip mall at 726 E. Main St., just west of the SR48 bypass/SR123 interchange.  Colony 7 is part of the Blue Grass Theatres chain composed of Colony 7, a drive-in in Winchester, KY and Movies 9 in Winchester, KY.  Colony 7 is more your typical small town theater (although 7 screens trumps most small towns), no IMAX, no huge seats with kick out footrests and chairside service.  Just your typical, old fashioned theater with the usual concessions available.  And the cost?  Budget friendly at $5 a ticket.  That's not just the matinee price, that's the price, all the time.  So in essence you're getting a 2 for 1 relative to most theaters.

Now if you want bells and whistles, then your choice is clear.  You're heading to Regal Cinema's Deerfield Towne Center Stadium 16.  Neon lights, stadium seating, IMAX, a more extensive concession stand, online ticket purchasing, rewards program, all the bells and whistles.  And you're going to pay accordingly.  Instead of $5, adult tickets are $10, or $7.50 if you catch the matinee.  They're easy to get to, head north on Mason-Montgomery Rd from the Fields Ertel I-71 interchange.  Turn left just before the Wal-mart and you can't miss them (5500 Deerfield Blvd, Mason OH 45040 for your GPS).

Now if you're going "Hey, what about the Showcase Cinema up at Kings Island?".  Showcase sold to Rave who in turn closed the doors and sold to a church (big crowds on Sunday mornings).

If you want to cross the Warren County borders, there's plenty more options.  Blanchester has a 3 screen theater downtown, Middletown has the Danbarry off SR122/Dixie Highway, West Chester's Union Center Rave Theater rivals Regal for the bells and whistles, and as you head down towards Cincinnati or up to Dayton you get additional options for large theaters.  We'd say check the newspaper....but many of the cinemas have stopped advertising in the papers.

For the two Warren County theaters listed above, click their name in the 2nd paragraph to go to their official websites.

Bliz... always important to know where those movie theaters are. People moving to an area will ask about what is available and this gives them a good idea of what to expect

$5 a ticket?   I'd go to the movies a lot more often if I could get a deal like that!  Of course, bells and whistles are nice too!  Great information for folks in your area, You are mighty fine directors!

Janis, Just another of the "critical" businesses in our area :)  Got to know where to take the kids for the summer blockbusters!

Dorie, We don't make it to the theaters as often as we used to, and we won't show favoritism by saying which one we go to :)

Roger, We've got the full range of offerings for the first run movies.  And down in Cincinnati they do have the discount theaters with 2nd run shows.

Amy, It is a great price.  Our willingness to go to a movie has dropped significantly as the prices for tickets and concessions have went up.  When you're in the $30 range for a couple to go out and have one popcorn and soda to share you start evaluating whether that's a good use of money, or waiting about 5 months and renting it for a $1.28 from Redbox makes more sense :)

BLiz: Now that summer is here this is a good way to keep the kids busy for a few hours.  Good local information for Warren County OH consumers.

Steve, With $5 admission you can throw in the popcorn for the price of admission at the upscale theater.

Anita, Definitely a good summer activity.  Having some downtime shortly and we'll be seeing Prometheus for sure.
