9 Comments on What's on an inspection report for a home sale? FAQ #5 Austin, TX
Dorie- great explanation of what is covered in an inspection report. Buyers should be aware of this and hopefully have Dorie Dillard as their Real Estate Professional in NW Austin helping them with their purchase.
Nice post...clearly outlining what it is inspectors/buyers are looking for. In my area, we would add carpenter ants.
Good morning Dorie -
An excellent description of what to expect from a home inspection. Your real estate knowledge beams yet once again!
Hope you have a great day in Texas my friend.
John
Hi Dorie, These Home Inspection Reports will certainly give the buyer a true picture of what is going on with that home. Every buyer does need to exercise their options to have these home inspections. Adding that Wood destroying inspection is always a great idea too.
Hi Dorie....buyers who are looking for a buyer' agent would be wise to call you for guidance before they go forth and start the house hunting process....
Hi Kathy,
Buyers do need to be aware of what inspectors are inspecting.
Dorie: It makes perfect sense to have the inspection done, even if buyers don't expect sellers to repair everything, so there is a baseline that the new homeowners can use if they decide to do repairs themselves.
I cannot imagine any buyer today not having an inspection. I've heard too many horror stories!
Hi Anita,
The seller will most often complete some repairs for items that are not functioning but the buyer has to be realistic.
