There are so many choices in light fixtures to choose from today. Where do I begin? Everything from simple single bulb fixtures to elaborate, fashionable metal finishes. There are literally thousands of options to take into consideration, it depends on many factors.

 

Some considerations in choosing a light fixture to install:

  • Are you selling your home?
  • Electrical box for light fixtureIs this an investment property?
  • Will it match the existing finishes in the home?
  • Is it enough light for the room?
  • Does it fit the style of the room?
  • Is it energy efficient?
  • Are the bulbs easy to reach?
  • Is the fixture easy to clean?
  • Are the bulbs readily available?
  • Can I get help installing the light fixture?
  • Will it add value to the home?
  • Is it a fixture that will be seen.
  • Is it a popular look that others will wish to keep?
  • Can I get it at a discount?

 

When it comes time to purchase a new light fixture, there are a lot of things to consider. The options in light fixtures are a personal choice.

This is true Kathy. There is no way the builder can anticipate which light fixture the buyers will want. It will be a simple average light that will help sell the home to the buyer.

I don't hink I've seen one of those gizmos, now I'm curious.
