I've been trying to take some pictures for a blog I've had written for a week, and it just won't stop raining long enough for me to walk there. I love Oregon and its liquid sunshine, but the day the calendar flipped, and it said summer was over, it has been raining almost everyday since.

The liquid sunshine does bring us beautiful, lush green forests, and beautiful autumns with the falling leaves all over the ground, but, dang it, Kodak doesn't make the Pacific Northwest EasyShare Waterpoof camera.

So, please be patient with my local content blog, that I have been waiting to put up for a week, because without the pictures, it just wouldn't be the same. I feel even more sorry for my wife, who has been locked in the house, with the kids, for a week straight. You see, my kids are home taught and she doesn't get the break from the kids as most parents do. She gets the break when the sun is out and the kids head out back and play with the puppy and play in their bouncy room for hours. Well, summer is going and I'm just really hoping that my wife can make it through yet another long Pacific Northwest winter without killing one of them. I know we are young enough to make more, but that just takes too much work. We have already got these ones house broken!

Todd... I read this and I'm laughing as i comb through my long, wet hair, standing by the roaring fire hoping to dry my bones before I fall asleep to the rhythmic sounds of the drumming rain. I love the wet, drippy days and would spend all my time under water if these darned gills would just GROW!!!!

btw... I'm going nowhere :) And thanks for such sweetness :)) He can do the moving....

Todd - I honestly don't think that I would be able to tolerate that much rain each year.  If we have a couple of rainy months here, I get down in the dumps.

... and to think how I just commented on another of your blogs how I loved the "after rain"..... It is hard when its days on end - and KUDOS to you for recognizing its not easy on the wife!  There are only so many "rain" lessons to come up with for the kids - I remember them when I homeschooled my older two.

Which is the reason I don't live in the North-West.  Any more than 3 days in a row of rain and I am going nuts!

Jennifer - I'm glad you are staying and you are recruiting from out of state - LOL

Jason - Yeah, but you get 100 degree days, I'll keep my cooler days.

Kim - OH, I do love the rain, I just want it to stop long enough that I can get more pictures of how beautiful it is here. - lol

James - You live in Washington DC a city that re-elected a crack addict, I think you may already be on the nuts side. So come to Oregon, you may just fit in! - lol

The rain just plain drives me NUTS!  I like a little bit of it and it is a great time to show homes since you can see if there is water problems, but too much is too much!

Todd, I had enough rain and snow when I lived in PA to last the rest of my life!  I get upset now when there is a cloud in the sky!

Michael - We were certainly at the too much is too much stage for those couple weeks.

Rick - Sometimes I wish we could import weather for a week from somewhere warmer and a lot less wet, but I haven't figured out how to do that yet.

Roberta
- Vegas certainly doesn't have that problem does it?
