Oh my what a start to the new year! First off I want to wish everyone a very happy and prosperous new year!  And the second thing I want to announce is that I am now with a new brokerage firm.

I have joined up with the very well known Keller Williams Realty Dallas Preston Office.  This is a very big step and change for me especially since I am coming from an office that has had a max of 4 total agents to a firm that has over 550 agents in one office.  

 

I made the change to Keller Williams because they (Keller Williams) offer 1. A Brand Name that everyone has heard of 2. A teamwork type atmosphere where everyone is willing to help you out and 3. A company that you would be proud to ask your friends or family to come work for.

 

I know that 2008 will be a tough year for a lot of us but I really think that we need to start getting the news out to our sphere of influence that real estate is still a good place to invest money.  People are reading way too much into these national news reports and I will blame them for continuing to highlight the negative aspects of the real estate market.

 

Since all real estate is local a good Realtor will the areas in his or her town that is doing well and will hit home to their sphere and community about how well it is doing.  There will be a lot of agents that will leave the business this year but that just means there will be more for those agents who adapt their business and actually put in some work time.

 

I for one am excited about the new year and what is has to bring and I hope to see you all still going strong in 08!
