The house is not for sale.  The old house is posted no trespassing or no soliciting or both or  something like that.  I felt like I could stop and look at the car since the car has a For Sale sign on it.    The old car beckoned me to stop and see what it was.   All you need to know about it is on signs in the windows. Or maybe there is a lot more you need to know about the car...  There are numbers to contact the owner for more information, posted on the car.

Lewis Center is an unincorporated area in southern Delaware County Ohio, east of Route 23, Columbus Pike.  The Lewis Center area is in the Olentangy Local School District. 

"Old" Lewis Center

In 2012 new  homes in Lewis Center, Ohio are much more common than old homes.  The Lewis Center area was rural in the past.  There are not really a lot of old houses.  There are old barns dotting the Lewis Center area, though. 

There's a cute little "whistle stop" at the train tracks east of Route 23 with  a number of older homes, two little white churches and a couple of commercial buildings. The community at the tracks is a little unincorporated village from the 1800s, I believe.

New houses sprang up near this old house at the corner of Old State Road and Lewis Center Road this past year.  A year ago there was a meadow behind this house.  I believe there was a brick ranch or a split level house there too that was demolished last summer as the developer prepared the site for new homes.  The Meadows at Lewis Center neighborhood is the site of the 2012 BIA Parade of Homes.

Old cars

This year, 2012  is the 60th Anniversary of the BIA Parade of Homes in central Ohio. One of the fun things they are doing for the Parade of Homes at the Meadows of Lewis Center is displaying old cars.  The old cars are going to be a lot shinier than the one pictured here.  Fully refurbished I assume.  Show cars in front of show houses.  

I am interested to see if the cars are old, old cars or if it is cars from the 1950s. 

The car, in front of the old house on the corner of Old State Road and Lewis Center Road is a 1946 Ford Coupe and it is  not an abandoned vehicle.   The sign says so.

The Parade of Homes at the Meadows at Lewis Center starts Saturday June 16, 2012 and runs through July 1, 2012.  The old cars are just one of the different things the BIA is doing this year. 

There are 12 homes in the BIA Parade of Homes this year.  I am not affiliated with any of the builders or the developer of the subdivision.
