In an article in today Sentinel, it was reported that FLIR Systems Inc.'s of Orlando landed a share of the work related to a new $26.4 million contract to build sensor equipment for an army reconnaissance helicopter.
FLIR which is based in Portland, OR received the contract from Bell Helicopter, the prime contractor on the Armed Reconnaissance Helicopter Program.
FLIR Systems which makes imaging systems including infrared imaging cameras, aerial broadcast cameras and machine vision equipment for military, commercial, public safety and other applications.
The fact that Orlando has received this $26.4 million contract will means a boost in the economy, job stability and hopefully a boom to the housing market.
