46 Comments on You Seeing the Curtain Lately? Here are 5 Things You Can Do!
It didn't occur to me to switch browsers. I was using Firefox to begin with. Anyway, thanks for the suggestions - I'll look for alternatives next time.
Kick back, take your shoes off, and have a beer. The Active Rain addiction will slowly fade away.
Kathy~ I didn't experience any issues yesterday. Thank goodness. However, I'm having some challenges today. I was going to write a RANT but decided to just add a comment to your post. I should have known better since they had problems yesterday that today could be risky. I was working on a DRAFT post. Had it worded perfectly. Hit the button and it was gone. ARGH!
I've just been too busy to write recently, so I planned time today to get it done and now the dang system won't work with me! ARGH!
Thanks for letting me blow off some steam in a safe environment. :-)
Kathy...
Oh wow, I thought that I commented on this earlier. Thanks for the tips that will open the curtain!
Brian- I didn't think about it until a recent curtain appearance.
Richard- works for me except make mine champagne!
Nancy- LOL- same here!!! So many other things to do.
Donna- no need to rant! See, you're back on and everything's ok!!!
Richard- I thought I was the only one that happened to. I'm serious. I've gone to a post and thought I'd commented on it but didn't. What's with that!
Kathy,
The bug needs to be fixed. It's not up to us to do a workaround. :)
Steve
You brought up some good points. Sometimes things don't go as planned, so you have to be flexible. That's just life. I have an AR outside blog and couldn't post to it, but it was still up during curtain call! I'm grateful for that. Just hope this doesn't become the norm.
Steve- well... I'm sure it's being worked on. Keeping my fingers crossed.
Pam- I think as we continue to grow there will always be growing pains.
Always have to remain flexible, always. Thanks for the post!
It's all for the better. They're working out the hiccups, glitches, whatever. It's not as bad as it was in the past. Great suggestion to look on Facebook for the updates. Keeps up posted and up-to-date.
Adam- you've got that right. There are other things we can do.
Carla- you can't have growth without some growing pains. And, yes, Facebook is the place to try.
Kathy -- great suggestions but I'm going with the clearing of the cookies when this happens next -- no, not clearing cookies from my computer but from my computer --- in these tense times of AR intermission -- I think heading for comfort food is just the thing and then when Active Rain returns and the cookies are nearly finished, I'll join Roger Mucci's Take it Off in the Rain Group!
Kathy:
I told Roger and I am telling you. There is no way I would clean the bathroom when AR goes down. I have the bathroom cleaning schedule and I stick to it. There are a million things I could do when AR goes down, but most of the time I continue writing draft blogs in my google docs.
Michael- I'm all for cookies! Make mine home made chocolate chip cookies!
Evelyn- wow... you'll have to send me your schedule!!! That's probably what I need.
Kathy - A great list of what to do. I especially like the idea of picking up the phone and calling a fellow Rainer.
Clearing the cookies and cache is fine FOR ACTIVERAIN. It's not fine for me. I don't want to lose the automatic sign-ins, passwords, etc. in my system.
After 2 days, the problem disappeared.
Great advice Kathy. I didn't think about heading to the Facebook page. I just headed over to John McCormack's email and asked him.
Eric- lucky you!!!!
Christine- of course you don't have to wait for the curtain!
Lenn- I do know what you mean. That's why I hate clearing the cookies because I really don't like having to log in all those passwords and stuff again. The only cookies I want to clear are the chocolate chip cookies on my plate!
Jeanne and Ralph- well that's one way to do it!!! But, if he isn't available, head to Facebook.
