Hello Liane,
It's a shame a small problem led to this.
But look at the next post about the electrical inside the home.

Hello Marshall.
I have seen this in Michigan when I was there inspecting homes.
I hope we don't get this bad here. LOL
Have a great night.

Hi Gene,
I see it here too.
Especially on the flat roofs with parapet walls.
Have a good evening.

Hello Kristina,
Yes I have seen that too.
I tell owners all the time not to plant a tree over any lines that are on the property.
They don't listen at all.
Have a great night,
Best, Clint McKie
Bury the line. With the age of the house, the whole thing probably needs to be updated.
Hi Clint, you going to need a great electrician and one that knows how to work with high voltage!
I second the motion. Don't fix it, spend the extra money to go underrground and leave the tree.
Hi Lyn,
I would, but it's not my call.
The new buyers will have to deal with the lines.
Thanks for the comment.

Clint, great advice, and my inspector talks about the 5 foot rule too! Good to keep us informed!
Good reminder, Clint. They can be a danger to the electrical wiring. Have a sunny Saturday.
Hi Bob,
All electricians need to know how to work with high voltage.
If they don't they need to find a different profession. LOl
Have a good weekend.

Hey Wayne,
I would leave the tree alone and go underground with the incoming service.
But that would be up to the new owners.
I'm sure the sellers don't want to foot the bill to go underground.
Have a great day off today.

Hello Joan,
The five foot ruls is everywhere.
It's a good thing too. There are way too many homes with power lines through trees. Get a good wind storm and bam, you need to reinstall the power lines. CHA CHING.
Have a good day in Denver.

Hi Toni,
More than you can imagine.
Most home owners never get an inspection outside of selling the home or even not then.
They want the buyers to pay.
Have a great day in New Port Richey, Florida.

Makes me wonder if the stress at the base of the mast has caused an opening in the roof that has or may allow water to find its way into the house??
Hi John,
This could be a contributing factor.
There was so much sealant with no boot.
Hard to make a call like that. In any case it needs to be repaired.
Thanks for the comment. Have a great Sunday in California.

Hi Clint.
I enjoyed reading your post.
Thank you Joshua,
Just trying to inform home buyers and sellers on what to look for when looking to buy or sell a home.
Have a great day in New York City,

Yep. It's time for a new mast. Actually it's past time.
Hi Tigard,
Yep, It looks like the leaning tower of Pisa. LOL
There needs to be a better upright pole heavier duty than the last. I personally would have went underground with it.
Have a good day my friend.
