Real Estate Copywriting FAQ's - What does it cost?

By
Services for Real Estate Pros with Marte Cliff Copywriting

Often, when an agent contacts me about using my real estate copywriting services, the first question is "What does it cost?"

If they're asking about a bio, I can answer: $300. For anything else, the answer is "It depends on what you want."

Asking what it costs to write marketing copy is kind of like walking up to a home builder and asking what it costs to build a house.

Do you want a small house or a large house? All on one level or multi-storied? What kind of flooring and cabinetry do you want? How many angles on the roof? The questions go on and on and the builder must examine the blueprints before he or she quotes a price. question marks

Real estate copy isn't quite that involved, but a writer does need to know a few things before quoting a price.

  •  Is it persuasive copy, or informative copy?
  • Does the client want short web pages, long web pages, brochures, newsletters, postcards, letters, press releases, testimonials, or blog posts?

  • Can they supply me with all the needed information or will I spend time on research?

We all understand the need to know the price before deciding to go forward with any kind of purchase – be it goods or services. But before your real estate copywriter can quote that price, you'll have to share just what it is you need.
