Event: Culture on the Green - Pan Jumbies

The Highlands Ranch Cultural Affairs Association (CAA) and Metro District of Highlands Ranch proudly present Culture on the Green 2012. Set outdoors at Civic Green Park, this series will pair cultural performances with a beautiful outdoor setting for an experience that is sure to delight all ages. Bring a blanket and a picnic dinner for an evening under the stars. Admission is FREE. Sorry, no dogs are allowed at Civic Green Park. Visit HRCAonline.org for more information.
Get your Caribbean groove on with Pan Jumbies. Led by acclaimed steel pan artist Don Prorak, Pan Jumbies mixes calypso, soca, reggae, ska, jazz, and more, into a vivid world-beat mosaic. The shimmering brilliance of the steel pans, the warm wooden tones of the marimba, and enigmatic vocals dance on the waves of the dynamic, funky rhythm section. Whether you come to listen, to dance, or just for the Caribbean vibe, Pan Jumbies delivers fun and musical artistry for audiences of all ages.
Event: Sanctuary Trail Rides

Time: 7:00 am - 9:00 am, 9:30 am - 11:30 am, 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm each day

The "Sanctuary" is the heart of the Backcountry Wilderness Area, invisible from roads and away from homes. Here is your chance to take a two-hour horseback trail ride and see herds of elk, deer, raptors and beautiful scenery as you ride through pine forests and open meadows.
Event: Backcountry 1st Annual Community Camp Out
Date: Saturday, June 9, 2012
Time: 3:30 pm - 9:00 am
Location: Law Enforcement Training Facility
Admission: $50 per campsite

Load up the kids, pack up your tent (or rent one from REI), bring your guitar and come join us for our "First Annual Community Family Campout"! Enjoy hayrides, horse back trail rides, nature hikes, archery, stargazing, raptor show, campfire, s'mores, games and much more. Instructive seminars will include: REI Backcountry Cooking and Gear, Wilderness First Aid, Leave No Trace and more to come. Participation is limited to 35 tents/families. Those under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
