Finishing out the first week of 2008 yesterday, I must say that I had hoped for a major change.  A huge shift.  The shudder of the commerce gear beginning to grind away.  Alas, no shudder... just the constant buzz of the polical machine heading towards South Carolina.

Yes, the debate is taking place tomorrow night and the city is quaking with anticipation for our famous visitors.  It's exciting to be a part of the electoral process... HERE in little ol' Myrtle Beach! 

A sand sculpture has been erected in the candidates honor across from the convention center - similar to Mount Rushmore, we have the candidates' faces carved into the sandy mounds.  (Odds are, it's something they've never encountered before!)
