Why did the weekly fee go up this year?

A decision was made by the board to increase the weekly dues to $10 because of the following:

•1.       To increase membership (as defined by the bylaws)

•2.       The cost of the room $300 a meeting

•3.       Cost of Food is $ 4.50/person

•4.       Broker's Tour Sheets $1/person

•5.       To be able to support local charities

•6.       To simplify change making efforts at the check in desk

This makes an average operating cost of $7/person per meeting.  The meetings have been run at a deficit for the previous 2 years.

The increase in the weekly price is to encourage the purchase of the Annual Pass and 12 Meeting Fast Passes.  An Active Member is defined by the bylaws as a person who has attended 12 meetings in a calendar year.  This can be tracked by the purchase of the passes.

Don't the sponsorships help cover the cost?

Yes, The sponsorships help to offset the cost of the room.  One of the charters of CCRIM is to be able to give back to the community.  Under last year's structure we were operating at a loss.  This year we wanted to be able to fulfill our promise to be able to help out community organizations.  The structure for this year will allow us to donate about $15,000 to local charities.
