Yep, in my gmail box this a.m. was a snow report! Big Mountain got 22" in the last 24 hours. Of course ski season is over but I bet there were a few hiking up and skiing what they could yesterday. The Flathead Valley received 1.5" of rain as of noon on Wed. in a 24 hr period. No small feat when you consider the annual rainfall is just 16". Full day of sun today after the storm.
Glad the primaries are over. Biggest contests in the valley were for Republican runners for 2 Flathead County Commissioner races. 7 ran for one spot and 5 for the other. My candidates did not win. Such important positions for our valley. With 2 spots to be filled, hope we get some very good people in them.
Hmm, the Whitefish Council in all their wisdom, have now restricted the amount of days a person can do a garage sale at their home. Popular with some but not with many. Montanans are pretty big on property rights and this is one more way a city jurisdiction is controlling what one can do on his own property.
On a positive note for Whitefish, the town won the Native Eye Wear ad competition. The town will be the site for the catalog shoot. Kind of fun!
Stumptown Art Studio in Whitefish has released their summer offerings. I might participate in the glass fusion workshop next week. See if there is something for you:
