The 25th Ronceverte River Festival starts today, June 7 and goes until Sunday, June 10.  This four day event is packed full of fun, food, music, carnival rides, parade, games, fireworks, and of course, the Rubber Duck Race....and so much more!


If you've never attended the Ronceverte River Festival, you are missing out on a fun-filled exciting weekend.  This four-day, four-night festival is fun for the entire family.  The event is held at the Ronceverte Island Park, a 20-acre park located on the Greenbrier River.  Admission and parking is free and the festival runs from 10 a.m. to midnight daily.

25th Ronceverte River Festival & Rubber Duck RaceThere will be entertainment for all ages.  This rocking event will feature "the Great Rubber Ducky Race", sponsored by the River Festival and  Bill Lewis Motors.  The race as noted below will be on Sunday and features a grand prize of $14,000 credit for the purchase of a new Chevrolet or Buick at Bill Lewis Motors and 24 other prizes for the lucky winners.

Thursday, June 7

Duck Ticket Sales begin
Carnival Rides


Friday, June 8

Grand Parade Line-up at 5pm on the Island
Grand Parade starts at 7pm
South of the River Band 8:30pm to 11:30 pm


Saturday, June 9


Strawberry Shortcake Sale begins
5 Mile Run 8am to 1pm
Basketball Tournament at noon
Horseshoe Tournament 10am
Lumberjack Contest 10am
Car and Bike Show 10am until 2pm
Chili Cook-off 11am
Fishing Derby (ages 8 to 16) 8am to 3pm
Tahoe Tractor Club Show 10am until 5pm
Children’s games 3pm
The Dennis Lee Show
8:30pm until 11:30pm


Sunday, June 10


Bike run 8am
Volleyball Tournament 10am
Thunder on the River Mud Bog at noon
Irish Road Bowling at 1pm
The Great Rubber Duck Race at 4pm (ticket sales, $5.00 each, from Friday until Sunday at 3pm)
The Dennis Lee Show 7:30pm to 9:30pm
Grand Finale Fireworks



Directions to the Ronceverte Island Park:  From Interstate 64, Take Exit 169 (Lewisburg) and follow Route 219 South to the town of Ronceverte

Hi Steve, they are individual...you buy a ticket, the ducks have a # on it, they are all released at once. The winner won $14K...but it wasn't me.
