Congratulations...my child has been selected to participate in the upcoming Educational Talent Search(ETS)!
She wrote a essay on why going to Washington, D.C. could benefit her educationally and culturally, and she was selected from her school(Woodville High) in Jackson County, AL. They chose 30 children from the Jackson County School System, and don't know the exact number from Huntsville, AL.
Of course she will have to do fund-raisers to raise the $500 fee to go which this includes her boarding, meals and all activities she will be doing and it will be for a week. This will be a great opportunity for her and I am very proud of her!
She will get to see The Capitol, Washington Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, visit some college campuses, baseball game, Six Flags, and many other various activities.
