Today I read an article from Inman News that says that the Arizona Association of REALTORS® announced that it it plans to train 54,000 REALTORS® trained on a new paperless system. It will be done with the help of SureClose an online transaction management company.

I can personally think of a few reasons why I am in favor of going paperless.

1. NO PAPER means NO TREES are being cut.

2. Losing files will be thing of the past. (data loss will replace it)

3. Faster responses from agents to clients, or vise versa.

If you can think of something else that is good about going paperless please let me know. If you can think of something wrong with going paperless, let me know about that as well.

Good for Arizona!  Paperless ROCKS and I'm all for every office going this way. It not only saves the trees but it makes life much easier!

Can you come and pick up my file cabinet :)  No paper!  Other than the large file sizes jamming up my disk space, I'm all for it.

Boy did you make my day, Ulises!  With the State Association leading the way, it should become the rule rather than the exception soon.

Paperless will mean more accurate, readable documents.  No more fuzzy chicken scratches that you have to guess what it means, then call the agent on the other side to make sure!

Better accuracy will be beneficial to everyone involved from the professionals to the clients.

I sure hope that we all go paperless soon! The volume of paper I print out daily is staggering! A challenge will be finding cross-platform standards that are compatable. We need everything to work with both PC's and Macs. Also we need to have standards that are clearly written and easily followed. We have some agents who are very technology adverse we have to make it a smooth transaction for all of us.

Best,

Scott

MARY, ARDELL, KENT, SCOTT: Thanks for all of your comments. I too am happy that we will be going paperless. I hope we don't take up to much memory on our comps. But we can always buy a flash drive, external hard drive, or copy them onto CD's. That way way we have a backup. Either way I do hope the new system is compatible with all computers. Thanks again.

I like it!  Just going to Zipforms was good for me, but, paperless, wow!  I say, let's all hope for it!

It's a Good Life!

Ulises,

I have moving toward paperless for about a year.  I try to keep all correspondence and contracts on my Outlook email in folders.  My office still requires paper to be turned in at each stage of the transaction.  So, I do mine without paper as much as possible.  I think it is great to have one copy of everything stored in my company's file cabinet as a back up...saves me a lot of space.

I am thrilled that SureClose has made this alliance with Arizona.  My business was created to help Realtors go completely paperless and I can tell you the benefits are staggering.  SureClose has been my platform of choice for the past 5 years.  It is a fabulous program.

Ulises - I haven't seen or heard anything about this in Tucson...is it a trial effort in Maricopa County?

Kent: I believe that is not  a trial run. At least I hope not.
