I just returned home from visiting some clients who are also new friends of mine.  I dropped off a nice gift basket and a gift certificate to get them going in their new place. But I have to tell you that seeing them in their new condo was just so exciting!

The young couple has been working full time and going to school full time while living with a relative for seven years!! Count it, seven!  They were sharing a small, one bedroom home with an elderly relative who also enjoyed the companionship.  The arrangement seemed fine I am sure, but I am so happy for them now.

They bought a beautiful condo in NW Glendale in Los Angeles.  It was a condo conversion where the bathrooms and kitchen were all remodeled in beautiful granite, and all the appliances including washer/dryer were included in the sale. The condo has two nice size bathrooms so that they each can have their own.  This after sharing one bathroom no larger than 6'x4' including the shower for three people.

I definitely will remember this picture in my mind for a very long time.  Their home was tastefully decorated, they had a king size bed, drawers, storage, and just about everything that they were looking for and more!  This definitely is the reason why I got into real estate.  It was a very nice memory I will cherish!

I hope they all go that way for you, Susan.  Most of mine do and it's a great feeling!

Susan, seeing a client's new home after they have turned it from a house into a home is very rewarding.  The clients are always so anxious to show it off to their agent.  I always tell my clients that the #1 rule is that their Realtor gets invited to the 1st barbeque or party at the new house.

I love stories like this and this is definitely very rewarding when you get to see how happy they are in their new home!  Congratulations!

It always warms the hart to hear a tale of some young people making it in this cruel world.
