Actually, anyone who knows me knows that I do indeed talk - I love conversation, debate, small talk. And in the real estate business, much of what I do all day long involves talking, whether to buyers, sellers, lenders, title company people, inspectors, repair vendors, other agents. Oh yes, my day involves a whole lot of talking.
Except when it doesn't. I caught the cold that has been going around through my family and friends, and along with the sniffles and coughing, I have totally lost my voice. I mean when I try to talk, all that comes out is this pitiful little squeak of a voice - totally not understandable even if I am standing right next to the person I am trying to talk to.
Well, that's an interesting development! (Not!) But I am finding that since most all of the people I am working with currently text and email, I can still do quite a bit of communicating. And there is always the good old point, gesture, "act out the meaning" kind of communications. Or when all else fails, I can text my son and have him be my spokesperson.
So for now, I'm really not one to talk. But I sure hope my voice comes back soon (though my husband seems curiously OK with my quiet ways! LOL)
