In May 2012, 100 homes were sold in New Tampa with an average sales price of $184,300. This compares with 97 homes sold during the same period last year which translates into a 3% increase in the number of homes closed and a 5% increase in the average sales price (from $175,000 to $184,300).

At the end of the month there were 372 homes for sale in the area; 27% of the available homes sold in the last month. 372/100= a 3.72 monthly inventory of homes. There has been a 8% decrease in the number of homes available for sale from May 2011 to May 2012 (from 403 to 372).
