Who Moved My Cheese?

By
Real Estate Agent with Living Realty, LLC - Keller Williams

The 2008 real estate year is already off to a great start. Open houses are busy, contract activity is picking up, the general buzz around the office is, well you know, buzzing.

Does this mean we are out of the woods yet? Not necessarily, history in Northern Virginia real estate has shown us that January and February tend to be very active months in the real estate market. This is the time of year that good agents use to set the stage for their entire year.

This being said, what better time to introduce CB Ashburn's 2008 book club. We are kicking off the club with a very appropriate book titled, "Who Moved My Cheese?" by Spencer Johnson. The book takes a light hearted, but profound approach to dealing with change in your work and in your life.

The real estate market continually changes, those who maintain a stagnant business plan starve. Those who adapt to change feast on new cheese. Who do you want to be?

I have had this book on my shelf for years and haven't read it! My book club member told me in November: 2007 was the year of completions and 2008 the year of beginnings. Thanks for the reminder and let everyone know what you are reading next month.

Sounds like a great plan. I read that book many years ago and I know that you'll get alot out of it.

Great book . . . and if there was ever a time to "Move Your Own Cheese" . . . it's in this market.

Does this mean we can all start to call you "The Big Cheese"? When on the spot at our office Success Sessions will we become "grilled cheese"? If we are doing well, can we say the office is "All Gouda"? The book club is a great idea, Bri--tell April she's welcome to contact us and borrow Drew if she needs any help with the kids that night or getting things together (I know you two are the first party hosts).

Hugs to both for your contributions to creating and maintaining office spirit.
