I lived in Napa for almost 10 years and took a jacket everytime we went to The City - the weather can change 10 degrees in 2 miles....great area to live!

Lottie, good for you, deciding to "live your dream".  I have to say I am a bit jealous, although I love my Rockwall, Texas living.  I love San Francisco having lived many years ago in Foster City.  I have two dear friends who moved from Texas to live their San Francisco dream.  They have lived that dream for years now and I enjoy visiting them.  It is a lifestyle like none other and all the reasons that you mention are reasons they love living there and that I love visiting them.

My cousin is a Realtor in San Francisco. Never understood why he always has a smile on his face. Then I noticed the transaction price of some of his closings!

San Fran is really such a beautiful city.  I hope to get back there someday and visit my onld alma mater on Broadway and Pacific and see some friends who still live there.  Great photos!

Wallace, our weather is amazing! Yesterday was shirt-sleeves even in the evening when walking out for dinner.

Doug, prices are high here; competition is tough as you might imagine. But the reasons for living here go far beyond real estate prices!

Judi, on the surface our lives are very different, but I have a feeling that we're not.
