ORLANDO, Fla. - Fortress Construction Group of Lake Mary was recently awarded a contract to make major renovations to an existing luxury home in College Park.

Charles Ayers, who formed Fortress Construction Group after closing out Development of Alaqua Lakes in Seminole County, said the work includes building a new covered patio with fireplace and outdoor grilling area, expanding the home's family room, and adding a new kitchen.  Ayers said the new contract is budgeted at $160,000.

"Many home owners who are unable to sell their existing homes and move into larger homes are opting instead to remodel their existing homes to accommodate their growing families," said Ayers.  "Our strategy has been to make it possible for people to get what they want without having to sell their existing home in this difficult market. Many times, an owner can add something like a home-office or a game room and it solves the problem." he said.
