Pondering Happiness And Time In Your Life

Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Realty 0575737

Time 1Listening to some people nowadays in a tough economy, reading some articles, absorbing some deep thoughts of posts written here by others I thought I would throw my two cents in on anxiety people feel both about happiness and time moving on in their lives as they get older.

Just a few ponderings on the topic of happiness and time itself.

1. It does seem without overthinking things or working at it so hard, the cheapest pleasures in life can bring the most happiness. We have heard the best things in life are free, well it does seem to be true or darn near close to zero charge to you. Building fun memories with those you want to spend time with or just doing what YOU want to do in a day, that makes you feel very, very good.

Time 22. I do think from a reflection standpoint it is good to go back through old photos from 5, 10, or even 20 years ago or further back to get a sense of change in life with people you know now or knew who are no longer with you just to get a sense of your own mortality and the finiteness of life. Not to be morbid but it is a reminder

Life is short, keep that in mind with the preciousness of your minutes and hours and thinking NOW where are you spending your time? Once passed, you can't get that time back!!!

Time 3The future is not here yet, the past is behind you and fading into the rearview mirror further and further back, so where should you be?

3. Live in the moment.

It really is all you have to work with, and embrace it with all your feelings and senses. Children are excellent at this and our adult brains get buzzed with busyness and we miss the moment, the present state, all too often.

Time 4Finally, a very good technique for lowering the anxiety level of life with regard to time and your happiness is to remember this simple rule:

4. Be Good To Yourself

You are the best, you deserve the best, always think the best about yourself. Treat yourself well with rewards here and there and as often as you can. Be not such a compulsive servant to others that you lose yourself and that you forget life is to be enjoyed, YOUR LIFE TOO. Share your goodness to yourself with others of course if you can, but NEVER forget YOU. It is not being selfish, it is taking care of yourself so you live a full life.

I hope some ponderings by me today made you think some that life is this perpetual roller coaster we are on, and that we shouldn't stress ourselves out more than necessary even in difficult times for many.

See It. Experience It. Live It.

Gary, this is probably my  favorite post that I have read in a long time.   Sometimes, like in the summer, we do get very wrapped up in doing things that are not going to be all that important when we look back on them this time next year or in 10 years.  Thanks for the reminder.

I hope that you can continue to enjoy the moment like the child does.
