Badge and buttons, buttons and badges...

My buttons match my moods and the seasons. You will rarely find me without at least one, on bag, lapel or hat.

let's make an offer button design

It depends on the message I'm trying to get across when I choose what to make and what to wear. Like my cards, because I do the manufacturing, I am able to allow for a great variety ~ and can make changes quickly and efficiently (short, sharp promotions).

  • 1.25 inch:  Mere accents and can easily worn in groups (or attached to my chair or its carrying bags. Viewers have to come close, and they do, to comprehend the messages. Can be quite an icebreaker.
  • 2.25 inch: More formal name badges and company statements. These can be of more intricate, eyecatching design, even with striking, attention-getting additions. These need the most planning and often become the most duplicated, especially where I intend other people to wear my advertising.
  • 3 inch: My ad hocery. I can collect sayings, select photos and designs, and produce on a whim. Real mood stuff. Small numbers. I can pass a message that is easily readable and can expect an audience reaction ~ a smile, a flash of whimsy or a call to action.

NB it is very rare to have  the same button design work in all three sizes.

Politics is a great consumer of buttons, especially Presidential Campaigns. One campaign produced 8 inch buttons. I might argue that the message value was "over-kill" and a waster of resources. So far I have not been tempted to stray into that size manufacture.

My choice of sizes has been refined over more than a decade to suit also economy and efficiency. Some of my clients refer to me as "The Badge and Button Man" ~ I let them.

What is your message?

Wallace - I like your sentiments. Both could easily inspire structured off-shoots. It's reasonably hard to offend anyone with a button.

You have an interesting habit.  When you walk into a room with those who know you, I am sure many come over to see what badge you are wearing.

Never was a big badge fan, but saw one I really liked, "Buy a house or get out of my car." Thought it a bit forward, but wished I had one on several occasions. Enjoy your day!

Pat & Steve - People surely do. some try to read my latest offerings.

Mark - being in a wheelchair I have to try a little harder to break the ice. This is where buttons on my hat or cap come into play.

Wayne - amazing how universal sentiments usually remain unspoken. My offering with the blog indicates none too subtly that I hope people have their check books with them. I will keep your favorite for specific clients.
