I've Just Crossed Over The Finish Line by submitting my 10 FAQ posts into the FAQ Break Into Summer Organized Contest. I've just crossed over the finish line

My series focused on sellers getting their homes ready for sale and doing those extra things that insure a higher sales price, a quicker sale and less haggling with the buyer.

I've just crossed over the finish lineWriting the posts Beating The Competition in Selling Your Clarksville TN Home was loads of fun. I've Just Crossed Over The Finish Line and I have completed my first big contest in ActiveRain. I am a little tired because I didn't plan well. Although I am not a big procrastinator, I kept waiting for an inspiration rather than just going ahead and writing. The rest of the problem is I didn't get started until this week and this week was an incredibly busy week in real estate.

What would I do different next time? I would start planning my posts the minute I see the contest announced. I would do more videos because they definitely take some extra time and thought. And I would plan to take the time to do some of my own phtography.

I've Just Crossed Over The Finish Line and it feels great even though I don't have a big trophy to show for it.

when your phone is ringing months from now because a seller found the answer they were looking for on YOUR blog and calls you... you'll know it's MUCH better than a trophy.

No matter how much planning, it's still an acomplishment to complete the contest!  I agree with Tammy too- there are bound to be many who have been helped through your posts and it won't be long before you get a phone call from someone that found out about you through your helpful FAQs.  Congratulations on completing the contest!

Wayne- It is almost theraputic in writing it down. I am really hoping the public finds it useful.

Carie- I am really looking forward to the fruits of my labors and can't wait to share when it comes in. Also that dusting thing can get ahead of you, like today I simply must do it!

Contests sure take a big commitment, but I like that you've learned how to make the next one more manageable. Good words of advice too. And, I agree, the series is now the big trophy for those who read it. Congrats.

Debbie~ I didn't plan well either.  I was also waiting for inspiration which didnt come.  I ended up cramming last night and then my Internet provider went down.  Not good for me.  I'm doing the "localism" contest too and I need to start putting out some posts.  We only have until the end of the month and I don't want to be going crazy on the last day!

Hi Debbie,  Good job.  It was a lot of work but I think it was well worth it.  It made all of us post some great stuff.

Donna- Glad I have company in the not planning ahead department. LOL. Isn't that always the way it is, the internet goes done when you have a deadline? I didn't undertake the localism contest because I just didn't think I could follow through. Good for you though and hope you see it through to the end.
