beautiful violet-purple blooms

By
Real Estate Agent WV0026375

Clematis 'Jackmanii'  is a vine with beautiful violet-purple blooms.  The Clematis Jackmanii was introduced in 1862, and was the first of the modern large-flowered hybrid clematises of gardens. It is a climber with large violet-purple blooms, still among the most familiar climbers seen in gardens. For beautiful colors, extravagance of blooms, and graceful habit, nothing compares with Clematis, the queen of the flowering vines. Whether used on posts or fences, clambering through shrubs and trees, or following wire frames in borders, they will enrich the landscape. (From Wikipedia)

They are indeed beautiful. So many flowering vines to choose from but this one does stand out.

Rebecca: Clematis is one of the few plants not even I can kill off.  It really grows like crazy here in GA.

We have clematis that does well around here, however, I have not seen any purple ones growing in our area.  They are usually a lovely shade of pink, have a great week.  A

My clementis was doing great when I planted it. We got several blooms right away. It is just a baby and the leaves look healthy. For past few weeks it has not grown or bloomed. I think it is too close to the faucet and getting excessive moisture. I need help. It belongs to my 4yo son and I would like for it to survive.
