Barracoon is the new word of the day.

Frankly I never hear of this until tonight while I had so much time on my hands (no life other than breathing and posting to Activerain) <sigh>.  Anyway this is the saga of my life and I love it.  So have you guessed the meaning yet?  Cause boys and girls if you haven’t or you don’t know the meaning of it you’re not going to make it.  The meaning of (bar’e koon) is an enclosure or barracks, formerly used for temporarily confining of convicts awaiting transportation

Hi James.  Get frisky in the barroom and you wind up in barracoon.

James, sometimes we deal with customers who need a little time in the barracoon before they can make an intelligent deccision! Enjoy your day!

Hi James,

I knew this one from my days in the military. I was an MP and was never inside a   Barracoon   as a prisoner. LOl

Have a great day in Rogers, Arkansas.

Best, Clint McKie

Never heard the word!  Never needed to hear the word!  I kind of like raccoons though, although not face to face.

This is a word that I cannot see myself having a use for. Although I suppose I could use a barracoon in my back yard for all of the stinkin' raccoons and skunks that prowl around at night and dig up my gardens.

HI JAMES!  I'm not sure that I would ever use this word - unless I ended up on some game show and was asked, "What is a barracoon?"!
