Waikiki:  Hilton Hawaiian Village Begins Major Renovations

According to "Travel Pulse" online and several other news sources, "Hilton Worldwide has announced a multi-year master plan to renovate and rejuvenate the 22-acre, oceanfront Hilton Hawaiian Village Beach Resort & Spa in Waikiki. The plan features expanded retail and restaurant space to serve the more than 2 million guests it hosts annually, an improved guest arrival, and numerous upgraded amenities, including additional children’s and adult pools. It also calls for the construction of two new timeshare towers, which will add approximately 500 units."

In 1974, I stayed at the Sheraton Waikiki, next door to the Hilton Hawaiian Village.  I see it in your banner.  Unfortunately, I have not been back to HI since, but judging from your banner picture, the skyline has definitely changed!  Wow.  I wonder if room prices have gone up?  HA!
