Sheds and the yard have to be cleaned out too. You can't leave the broken bird bath, or old fertilizer bag in the shed. Inside the house it is the same. Run the vacuum over the carpet, sweep the floors, do a quick dusting of the counter tops. It doesn't have to be perfect but it has to be reasonably clean.
My West Bloomfield seller knew that, but he just didn't do it. The closing was delayed so he could go back and finish up the cleaning.
