I was the kid who was bullied. A sissy from the time I was in kindergarten, by the time I was in junior high I was the school fag. I learned to cope and even flourish by figuring out that if I was honest and unapologetic about who I was, I was at least respected for it. Once I got to college (I went late as I had a few years to blow in my twenties), I started to figure out that people actually liked me. Because I was gay. And fabulous.
Of course a lot of those friends were women—some mistakenly call them fag hags but that’s a story for a different time—but increasingly I found myself making friends with gentlemen of the straight persuasion. It seems to be a trend that has continued into my, ahem, adult life. Perhaps because, though I am an unabashed homosexual, that doesn’t preclude me from enjoying sports, cars and beautiful women. Oh yeah, the women in my life are freakin’ gorgeous, yo.
So, how does this affect you? Let’s breakdown the advantages of working with a gay real estate broker:
I’m single
I am 1,000% committed to my clients, which means that I am more flexible with my time to give you the attention you deserve.
I spend more time on my hair in the morning than most men do in a year
Because I care about my appearance and spend a lot of time trying to look my best, I am just as committed & precise in finding the right home for you.
I may mince about, but I don’t mince words
This means that I will be (sometimes brutally) honest about the changes you should make in order to sell your house for the most money in the shortest amount of time.
I have a flare for fashion
My eye for the latest trends is ideal for advising you on staging your home to highlight your home’s best features and play down it flaws in order to make it appeal to prospective buyers while allowing them to imagine it as their own.
A homo says what?
I ask a lot of questions and listen to understand. I pay attention so that you can be certain to be heard. Listening to you means that I can better serve your needs.
I am creative
That degree in Fine Arts from LSU and experience as an art director & marketing pro, guarantees you that I’m thinking different. Outside the box, so to speak. So I have fresh ideas about getting out the word about your house.
Champagne taste on a beer budget
I’ve been rich; I’ve been poor. Actually, I’ve mostly been poor. So I know how to stretch a budget and use my distinct taste to find deals and hidden jewels. It also means I have a knack for negotiating.
