Today we celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary and I began to think about all the places we lived during our marriage. This caused me to think about the difference I place upon a house and a home. I believe a house provides shelter, a basic human need. A home provides stability, financial and emotional.
In Weltenshauung, the guiding philosophy of Active Rain, I believe very strongly in point 3, “We believe home ownership is a positive force for social good.” My life has been so positively impacted by home ownership in such a way that I encourage every person I know to dream about owning their own home.
In the first 8 years of our marriage we lived in three different states and 7 different houses or apartments. We had shelter and we were happy. Our needs were met and my children were safe. In 1990 we purchased our first home and lived there until we moved to Lancaster in 1997. We currently live in our second primary residence. With the purchase of our homes, we have attained a higher level of stability. We are more financially sound and enjoy being in charge of our own needs.
Home ownership has been a great blessing for me. Want to learn more about how home ownership can change your life for the better? Contact me to learn more.
