I just arrived back from a Caribbean Cruise to Cozumel, Belize, Honduras and the Cayman Islands. The cruise was wonderful and the weather was just perfect, no rain and no high seas, not to mention no phones, internet or texting. It was so peaceful.
We sailed out of the Port of Tampa, which is just under 2 1/2 hours from Melbourne.
We're a bit spoiled here in Brevard County, because we have 4 ports where cruise ships sail from within just hours of us. Many of the people we met on the ship had traveled from other countries, as well as various parts of the US. We felt fortunate at the end of the cruise, to hop in our car and be home in just a couple of hours.
We've got Port Canaveral in Cape Canaveral.
We've got Port Everglades in the Ft. Lauderdale area.
And there's the Port of Miami.
