That is pretty amazing with all the people involved throughout the process that he came through a little poorer yet unscathed.
Um, you also notice the lack of coverage since he's a dem. Were it a Republican, nightly news will be all righteous and outraged.
I think that it proves that all laws are written by and for the wealthy and powerful. We know he did it, but there was just enough wiggle room in the law to make the case. I suspect Holder is going to find the same wiggle room, but in his case, a man died.
Yolanda, so far there hasn't been a news piece by 60 minutes or others on this. But we know that Romney put his dog on the roof 30 years ago. Pretty pathetic, even we could work as blind newsmen for the major networks and media outlets.
But they are neutral and treat everyone the same! /sarcasm
Just like the misterious missing (D) after the name of politicians accused of wrong doing, but let it be an (R) and it is plastered in the headline.
Dale,
Tthis was not too long ago, the running tally on casualties in Iraq under GWB, but I don't see nor hear the report nowhere now.
Fast & Furious, Solyndra, too many to name, aren't given the time on the air and print by the old media.
Of course, that Mormon Romney, what was he thinking with that dog? So scandalous!
Then his wife, what is Mrs. Romney doing riding horses? Oh my!
And the baddest bad of all--buying a beachfront property in Kalifornya, and renovating it! These 1%-ers ...how dare they spend their own hard-earned money!
Than, that's funny, thought I was just seeing things, noticed the lack of Ds a couple of years ago.
Yolanda, google something like deaths in Afghanistan in 2012 or so, you will find that our pull out there and in Iraq is not going as well as we would like. But I won't blame Obama on that, I blame him more for bombing in other countries with his drone program. We really don't have a clue what our military is doing now. Of course the media is terrible at reporting
Politics eliminates Justice! Look how long it has taken to get Eric Holder out of office. As long as the idea that "he may be a crook, but he is our crook" prevails there will be no justice.
We are in polite company here, so I cannot say what I really think of John Edwards.
The more pressure is brought to bear on those that commit crimes, the better for society.
John Edwards is a creep. The things that he did were horrible... especially in view of the fact that he was cheating on his wife Elizabeth while she was dying of cancer. I would love to see him strung up by his you-know-what.
What he did was wrong, and it was stupid. And yes, it was immoral. They just could not convince a jury that it was against the law beyond a reasonable doubt.
Karen Anee, you are right, I just wish the laws that these guys make for themselves wouldn't be so vague.
This debacle on top of the other FAILED HIGH PROFILE government prosecutions are signs that the government has too much power
Protectionism is still the same in any language. Those that make the rules make sure they don't have to follow them. That is why we have failed prosecutions in government.
