Kathy...
How lucky you are to have such a wonderful place to walk and such a dedicated guardian to take care of it!
A slice of life in America...One of jillions to enjoy on the planet too...Hello to Carlos and thank you little lady
BARFF- I think Carlos sees much more than we do.
Gita- it's the best time. The birds are just waking up and that' when you'll see the most activity.
Cindy- the almost closed the nature center last year due to budget issues but thank goodness we still have it. Every day is a new day!
Michael- We've been walking there for over 4 years and still love it.
BarbaraT- still tracking down the gator nests here but there are 4 at Wakodahatchee.
Dorie- we have another incentive for getting out there early... the heat!!! We love it and have learned so much about all of the different wildlife.
Janis- I hope we never take it for granted or Carlos either. It could be a mine field without him.
Mike- I agree. Maybe we should all look around more often and thank those who are there evry day for us.
John (QMan)- On days when we're out and complaining about the heat, he's out there. Thank goodness.
Joanna- Oh gosh, we hope not. Even the little babies born last year look like they could really bite!
Richard- thank you. I love it and love that people are really using it.
Rob- Oh yes, we can always tell when the bobcats have been around.
Gary- I know the walkers appreciate him but we need to tell him more often.
Very nice post about Carlos, nature's creatures and Green Cay Wetlands. It sounds as if Carlos really does add the experience. Nice shout out and localism Kathy.
Kathy - I love combining my morning walk with the lovely sights and sounds Mother Nature provides--it works the body and soothes the soul.
Kathy, what a great water photo, and nice shout out for Carlos!
Kathy, I love the post. I do not think I was out there on my visits to the area. I love these treasures in the local environment. Carlos probably does not know famous he is.
I am gonna start calling you feature queen! Well done again, and what a nice local post!
Kathy,
What a great post! Loved the pictures and meeting Carlos as well...
-Brent
Great information! These are the guys that go unnoticed. So thoughtful of you to recognize his contributions to everyone else. Great post!
Kathy
Its nice that you recognized Carlos Padilla for what he does.
Good luck and success.

Kathy,
Love this tribute to Carlos and his work, we have Jose on his tractor who sweeps the beaches clean and blows off the sand off the sidewalks and steps...We feel the same way about his work as you do about Carlos...Happy Flag Day, A
Richie- Hope you're getting set to have a special weekend. Isn't it wonderful that there are so many special places for all of us to enjoy around our wonderful planet.
Mary- I think you said it ...'takes pride in what he does."
Debb- What I love hearing is all of the different people on the boardwalk who stop to say "hello" to Carlos.
Norma- you are so right. It's a wonderful way to begin the day. It's like taking a vitamin pill first thing in the morning.
Joan- thank you. I love walking at Green Cay and seeing all of the different birds.
Donald- well if you're this way, just give me a jingle. Coffee's on me!!!
Kristin- many thanks. That was quite a surprise!
Brent- many thanks. I've got to figure out how to get him a copy of this post.
Jan- you're right. There are so many people who keep things running. I love the fact that he notices what's going on with the birds and nests too.
Lou- Have you gotten out to Green Cay??
Alexandra- there are so many people who make it possible for us to enjoy what we do. You made me think of a project I need to put together for him.
A big Congrats to Carlos for being Featured!! What a great shout out of appreciation you've written for him! I would certainly feel safer knowing he was around if I were walking that early in the morning!
Bless Carlos's heart! He loves his job and takes pride in it. And what a beautiful place to work!
I always enjoy taking your walks with you Kathy. Especially in the BRRR winter!
Sharon-I would love for everyone at ActiveRain to take an early morning walk with me on the Boardwalk!
Shar-He is very kind. I had a bad upper respiratory ailment last year and he stopped to tell me what his home remedy was.
Janice- I bet. I'll have to remember to send nice sunny photos to you in the winter. (winter? what's that?)
Kathy, Carlos must be very special and worthy of this feature. Congratulations.
Debbie- he is that indeed!
