Summer Food Service Program Feeds Kids for Free Breakfast and Lunch Available to Kids 18 & Younger



June 1, 2012, Waterford, MI – With summer right around the corner, it’s time to think about keeping children healthy while school is out. The Waterford School District’s Food and Nutrition Services Department provides free meals to children during the summer.

This summer, meals will be served at the Crary Campus, 501 N. Cass Lake Road, Waterford, Monday through Friday, from June 18 through August 24. Breakfast will be served 8:00 – 9:00 a.m. and lunch is offered from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

There are no income requirements or registration.



Any child 18 and younger may come to eat.

Each year, the U.S. Department of Agriculture partners with local organizations like the Waterford School District to provide free meals to children when school is out for the summer. For more information about the national Summer Food Service Program, visit http://www.fns.usda.gov/cnd/summer.
