A friend forwarded me some Life Lessons and I thought I would share them.
1. Focus on one task at a time. Research shows that our brains actually can't multitask, and that when we think we are, what's really happening is that our attention keeps switching from one thing to the other and we end up doing both tasks poorly. Simply put, prioritize tasks and don't tackle another until you finish with the first one.
2. Choose a few things to automate. For example, if you like good food for breakfast, and don't need much variety, stick to the same breakfast daily. It saves you time and you can focus on other tasks.
3. Small steps matter most. Break a large goal into one small step at a time. Often what is standing in your way is you.
4. Find quiet. It's important to be able to access your center of calmness. Finding that quiet place and being able to go there makes it easier to think clearly , especially when you are stressed.
