CELL PHONE LOST OR BROKEN? THIS TIP KEPT ME IN BUSINESS!

Phone

I am sure that all of you at one time or another have lost or damaged your cell phone or perhaps it just wasn't working correctly!  When this does happen, it can cripple us as this is our life-line in this business.  Yesterday my beloved phone was on the fritz and luckily due this little tip, I didn't miss a beat.

Making a quick call to my provider, he asked me if I had an old cell phone that I might have previously used.  I had kept my old phone and had been allowing my Grandson to play with it.  I grabbed it, put the battery back in and in no time, the technician had me up and running on the old phone.

I was only out of commission for a few minutes.  This has taught me a HUGE lesson!  From now on, I will keep an old cell phone with all of it's components so that if I am ever in a pinch again, I will have a back-up.

In life and in business - ALWAYS HAVE A BACK-UP PLAN!  Happy Selling everyone!

Good tip!  Too bad my old phones always look like Mad Max had their way with them.

Great tip, Paula.  Better to keep an old phone as a spare than to toss it in a landfill

What a great idea.... We usually toss them in the drawer  but have recently donated them all.  So, next time we upgrade we'll keep at least one around as a backup!!

You bet everyone!  So glad that I still had one.  I am super busy and would have hated to be without it.  I am stuck to my phone these days for sure.  It feels like an appendage.  Hope you all are busy as well.  Have a super day.

Paula, I usually donate my old ones, but some of them have gotten so sophisticated that the Domestic Abuse Center doesn't want them.   This is a great idea.  I will keep one in the drawer for an unexpected emergency for myself or my wife.  Thanks.

You bet Don.  However, my little grandson will be sad when he can't play with his phone any longer.  I have learned a really big lesson with this and will make sure that the charger for it is nearby as well.  So glad I didn't lose a day without my phone.  Would have been awful with all of the calls I am dealing with right now.

Paula- that was a great tip to share.  On my husband's first kayak trip in the Atlantic, and despite a waterproof bag his cell phone was totally drenched.  I got my old cell phone and was able to switch his number to it. Unfortunately it was a bright red so he tried not to make any calls in front of his friends.  We got him a new one very shortly after that.

I have had to use an old cell phone because of problems. On a side note, I realized yesterday that I had left my cell phone at home yesterday while on my way to the office. I thought I must go home for it, but then realized I did not. I have a google phone number and use it for my voice mail. From my computer at the office, I had a record of missed calls and voice mail messages. I was able to use my office phone to communicate. The only down side was not having it while I was travelling. But it was kind of refreshing not to be constantly interrupted by the ringing of the phone.

Hi Paula. I switch providers and found out that those memory chips and not interchangeable. I started saving all my contacts in my Gmail account. That really helps to have a backup plan.

Paula, you mean to tell me that those dozen phones floating around my house may still have some value?

Great post today.

Good morning Ms. Paula haven't thought about it much as the price of cell phones at a major outlet is so cheap I can make it there and buy one.  Good post and I am going to look for that old one I know is around here
