Today I had the pleasure of visiting the Challenger Leaning Center of Lucas County. This learning center is located in Oregon Ohio, Lucas County. Ohio, the Birthplace of Aviation. Did you know there are 24 Ohio Astronauts? If you have a child that is interested in Aerospace in action this place is for them. There is a wide variety of activities. This is a unique hands-on learning experience. This experience will transform a person into a researcher, scientist, or engineer on a simulated mission. No boring lectures here. Become a vital member of a Communications, Isolation, Data, Probe, Medical, Life Support, Navigation, or Remote team. Working together the teams work towards completing their mission. Missions include Return to Mars, Voyage to Mars, and Micronaut K-4.
This center also has activities for Adult and Corporate groups. This place is all about Team Work and Communications . Is your company or organization looking for an interesting activity? The Challenger Learning Center of Lucas County may be just right for you.
The center is a Global Nonprofit Organization. It was created in 1986 by the families of the Challenger 51-L Crew that was tragically lost during the Challenger's 10th mission. The mission of the center is Inspiring, Exploring, and Learning.
