Life is Good Through Observation

By
Real Estate Agent with DFW FINE PROPERTIES 0506509

For as much as I love flowers; I cannot overlook the beauty of leaves. Leaves come in all difference shapes and sizes - not all leaves are green.

These leaves have distinct markings. They remind me "that to everything there is a purpose."

Observe - you don't have to be perfect to be who you are. It's the holes that sets this one apart!

This leaf is big and strong, notice the veins and how they curve from the center of the vein to its outer edges. This one reminds me of a rib cage and the vein that is in the center looks like the main artery to the heart of this creation.

Observe - In human beings, the healthy heart keeps you going to your peak performance.

This leaf has unique shades of color. I've never taken up painting; yet the brush strokes on this leaf are a true inspiration. Inspiration is free for the taking!

Observe: Mother Nature plays with different strokes of the imagination!

Leaves are colorful! Notice how the light illuminates the color of these leaves!

Observe: The orientation of light draws one closer. Let there be light and love throughout the world!!

As we transition into the season of Summer, let me remind you of what Helen Chenoweth said, "Gentle the rain falls, each leaf holds its own small notes of summer's music."

Be like the leaves, be consistent as to how you leave your mark on others. Be kind to one another.

Observe: No two creations are alike! By the same token, no two people on ActiveRain are alike either! Respect one another. Be your own creative self. Enjoy the Rain!

Very cool photos of leaves Patricia. My variation on looking at them is seeing the holes cut into them by insects.

Gary... your comments reminds me of one of my favorite children's books, "The Very Hungry Caterpillar!"

Good reminder that leaves are good to eat for some; not for all!

Patricia I love those leaves!  They are the lifeblood of the plant and give so much to everything around them, even the weeds.  I do have to say though they are dificult to paint well for me.

I love leaves too.  When I lived in the Midwest I took great pleasure in raking fallen leaves and seeing trees leaf out in the spring.  The seasonal changes are bit more subtle in CA.

Patricia,

I love the quote and I love leaves as much as I love flowers.  If you have not been to Hawaii make it happen...the leaves of so many plants are amazing, the leaves become the flowers...I have seen green leaves with pink dots, leaves in yellow and reds...so much beauty surround us all...Have a great weekend, and make lovely music.  A

"Be kind to one another" is such an important observation, Patricia. There is so much bad in the world that a kind word or smile can help someone get through the day, problem, morass.  Great photos, my sweet friend.

And I thought I was the only one looking at the leaves!  The flowers always get the attention, but having some interesting greens can really add to a garden!
