When I first moved here and started blogging about Charlottesville I planned to talk about the various communities, one at a time, and bring you my thoughts about these communities.
WELL...that"s proved to be difficult as my work has taken me to different communities....from the Wintergreen Mountain area to the flatlands of Spring Creek in Gordonsville.
What I've learned is that I love it all! That being said, I will point out some sights, other than the obvious historical ones that I will go into at a later blog.
So, if you are visiting Charlottesville and you like to shop, you can't miss the Barraks Rd. Shopping Center! Wow, it's got everything from Video Game stores to one of a kind novelty shops like Plow and Hearth and The Virginia Shop. You'll also find your favorites like Talbots, Chico's, Old Navy, McDonalds. Drive carefully, it's very busy all the time!
Our Fashion Square Mall is active and anchored by J.C. Pennys, Belk and Sears. All along the Seminole Trail you'll find everything your could possibly want from soup to nuts (literally, Virginia peanuts in every form).
Along Rt 250 toward Afton Mountain (please stop for the view) you'll find the Rockfish Gap store. This is a treasure chest of old and new that will keep you "shopping" for a while.
Peach Orchards, Strawberry Picking, Farmer's Markets.....they're all here.
Every weekend you can wander East or West and find something new to do and discover, I have!
Oh, and if you are interested in checking our properties around these awesome shopping areas go to http:/CharlottesvilleMoves.com
