Welcome to The Fairways at Wallkill, in Wallkill, New York.
This community was started in 2005 and more luxury townhouses and homes are currently being built.
It consists of townhouses and single family homes with condominium benefits. The luxury townhouses have 2 bedrooms or 3 bedrooms and 2.5 to 3.5 baths, and range in size from about 1717 square feet to 2473 square feet. The luxury single family homes have 3 bedrooms or 4 bedrooms, and they range in size from about 1754 square feet to 2341 square feet.
The townhouses either have garages for 1 or 2 cars and parking in front of the garage or they have parking spaces in parking lots.
The single family homes have garages and plenty of room for additional cars on the driveways.
The townhomes and homes are sunny and open and airy and spacious. They have cathedral ceilings and skylights.
The first floor of the townhouses has a living room, dining room, kitchen, and half bath. They have fireplaces to enjoy on those cold winter days and nights and the kitchens have high-end cabinetry, stainless steel appliances and granite countertops.
The second floor typically has a master bedroom and a master bath with a whirlpool tub and separate shower, two additional bedrooms, and another full bath. The laundry room is on this floor, too, which is very convenient.
When the basements of these townhouses are finished, they usually have a family room. Some of the finished basements are walk-out which is a great feature and some have another full bath, too.
Many of the townhouses have scenic views of the Orange County Golf Club golf course.
They have decks and patios to enjoy.
The single family homes with condominium benefits, which include snow removal and landscaping and use of all the amenities, are a great alternative to living in a townhouse, for those people who want to continue to live in a detached home, but don't want to worry about maintenance issues.
Many of the floor plans for these homes include a master bedroom on the first floor, which is ideal for homeowners who do not want to climb stairs to go to their bedroom. Based on this layout, people who are 55 and over but do not want to move to a 55+ active adult community, can enjoy The Fairways lifestyle and can be confident that they will be able to enter their home easily, since there are few steps involved.

The first floor has a living room, dining room, kitchen, family room, master bedroom, master bath and half bath.
The second floor has two more bedrooms, another room, and a full bath.
There are full basements that can be finished and they are often walk-out basements.
There are many amenities in this community including a clubhouse with a kitchen, a gym, a library, a lounge that can be used as a party room, a billiards room, a game room, a pool, and a playground,
As I drove through this beautiful community, I enjoyed the lush landscaping and ponds and fountains.
As a pet lover I am happy to say that pets are allowed!
Between January 1, 2011 and the time of the writing of this article, two 3 bedroom single family homes sold for $340,000 and $350,000 respectively. One 3 bedroom townhouse that was a short sale sold for $271,000.
At the time of the writing of this article twelve luxury townhouses and single family homes are on the market ranging in list price from $199,999 to $399,500.
The Fairways at Wallkill luxury townhouses and homes is convenient for commuters going into New York City. The NJ Transit train station is nearby. Taking a train from this station, you will be able to reach NYC by going to either Hoboken or Secaucus. If you go to Hoboken, you will be able to take the Port Authority Trans Hudson (PATH) train to either lower Manhattan or 34th Street and 8th Avenue. The drive to NYC is about 1 hour and 20 minutes.
This community is also close to major highways, such as the NYS thruway (I-87), I-84, Route 17, and Route 211.
The Fairways at Wallkill is close to the Galleria shopping center at Crystal Run and is about 15 minutes drive to the wonderful Woodbury Commons Premier Outlet stores.
