Where's the Rain?

We are heading into the heat of Summer and it looks like it will be another dry one.  Here's some water saving tips for not only conserving water, but having a healthy lawn.

• Water when you leave footprints in the lawn.
• Raise your mowing height.
• Transplants do better when water is withheld for a few days to drought harden them before the move.
• Water early in the morning or late in the evening to minimize losing water to evaporation.

Good information to help conserve water. I did not know that the time of day you water had any benefits. Obviously, now I will water early in the morning or late in the day. Thanks for this useful tip.
