Tired of High Property Taxes?? Move to GA!!

One of the great advantages of moving to Georgia is the low property taxes.  How low are they?  Every county is different but Cherokee and Cobb County are pretty close in their millage calculation.  For an approximate idea on what you would spend on property taxes annually you can figure in Cherokee County (and Cobb County) it would be about 1% of the sale price of the home.  Of course when you file for the homestead exemption (a one-time task) that would lower your annual tax by about $300 or more depending on your home price.  But wait - I haven't even mentioned the biggest advantage yet!!  When one homeowner on the deed reaches the age of 62 - your tax bill is drastically cut.  This is a discount for seniors and usually comes down to a reduction of between 75-80% of your tax bill!  I won't use names, but one client of mine was paying about $17,000 a year in taxes in Brooklyn, New York.  With the senior discount here in NW Georgia they ended up paying about $572 on a beautiful 3 year old 5 bedroom home with a finished walk-out basement.  Isn't it time you considered moving to Cherokee County?  Call or email me-- I will be happy to send you home listings or area information and you can see for yourself what you're missing!
