Oh, how true and sweet! I have to send this one to my Daddy too! Lovee it and great post again!
Hi Kathy...and many days going to Figure skating...ha. It was Fun.
Cheers
Kathy, I am always so happy to see heartfelt connections between dads and daughters. You put this perfectly. Cheers and thank you to wonderful men and father's everywhere.
Kathy-I know your Dad is very proud of you and has a smile on his face as he watches over you. Great tribute to your Dad from his princess.
Lisa- thank you and hope your weekend is off to a good start!
Scott- and you as well. Hope you're treated very specially this weekend.
Dorie- Oh how I'd love to hear that one. My dad and then my uncle taught me to drive a stick shift. Fortunately Houston is flat so no hills!
BARFF- critter still around?
Joan- absolutely. I love it during the holidays when dads are in the mall with their children trying to buy gifts.
Fernando- Hope you are treated like a KING on your special day.
Joanna- you are so lucky! I know you'll make his day special.
Debbie- I do and I wish all kids could grow up with those memories.
Rebecca- Wow 10!! You are so lucky. I hope you're passing those stories down to the grandchildren.
Kristin- thank you. And hope your dad has a great Father's day.
Fred- that sounds like fun. I think my dad would have preferred that over piano recitals!
Debb- yes a big thank you! I love seeing father's involved with their families and taking on more parenting responsibilities.
Nancy- we are lucky. Dads have a way of making all little girls feel so special.
Sharon- Thanks! I like to think that all dads are still around watching over us all.
Kathy, I was never fortunate enough to have a real father. Nor did I become one myself. But, I have had several older guys that I hung out with after I was older of whom I grew quite fond. And, from time to time, they would give me advice and, of course, hang out with me. Most of them have gone on to greener pastures...at least I hope they did.
But, here's to all the dads who sacrifice so much for their princesses (and princes!).
Kathy, what a wonderful tribute. If any Father is questioning his worth today, all he has to do is read your post and endeavor to be there for his children. Thanks for posting.
Kathy, as a fellow princess, I enjoyed your post. My Dad is gone so now I honor my sons Dad ;). They definitely deserve their day too!
Pass the tissues please. You had me with the title....barely got through the first line. My dad is still here and I'll be posting to him tomorrow. I am also a fellow princess, and it doesn't matter how old you get or how old he gets....daddy's little princess is a wonderful feeling!
Very very sweet Kathy! What little girl doesn't want to feel like a princess and especially by her Daddy!
Well said Kathy and thank you to all the men in our lives who make us feel safe and secure as well. I know growing up Dad, was our 'protector'.
Kathy, So sweet and got me thinking....
"thank's dad for all those spit shines on my navy blue shoes I wore to 8 years of Catholic school. You did the same for my 5 sisters, and that's a lot of spit!" LOL
Kathy, great tribute to your Dad and Fathers everywhere. We all deserve to feel like a Princess ;)
I love your post Kathy.
As a father, I don't feel the need for the same accolades that others get. It is a gift to be a father, even if it is not Hallmark special!
Hug a Father!
Good morning Kathy on behalf of the dads in the world we thank you. Sad to say some won't get a phone call, a card or anything but that is the way it is sad to say.
Hi Kathy. Great tribute to your Dad.
Lovely post, Kathy. and a great tribute to your Dad. Fathers are special people.
