Back yard tree service in Lynden WA DigLynden Tree Service 360-318-9795 is the process of finishing up a great week in June, taking down six firs, stump grinding, trenching, field mowing, and planting 50 emerald green cedars.

Three years ago the Hodges of Lynden, just north of Bellingham WA, asked me to give them an estimate on trimming branches off some Douglas Firs in their backyard.  Didn’t do the trimming of the doug firs but ended up trimming a row of emerald green cedars for them.

Every summer for three years I get the call to come out and do a bit of pruning around their property in Lynden, WA.

The doug firs weren’t huge but at 50’ and 30’ from the back door they were causing problems.  The roof was getting battered, the drains constantly full of needles, and even in the summer where it stays light till 9 p.m. in the Bellingham WA area, it was getting dark at 3 p.m.

The job went smooth.  It’s great being able to get our tree service equipment in the back yard to do the chipping and clean up.  One of the major benefits of smaller trucks is being able to get into back yards and not destroy the lawn.

This tree service job took just about every tool in the bag.

After we got the clean up done, DigLynden Tree Service ground half of 5 stumps to plant the emerald green Unloading the Emerald Green Cedars in Lynden WA back yardcedars being planted as a fence.  Love putting in more trees when I just took out a bunch.

A friend of mine introduced me to a grower of emerald green cedars.  Carl has thousands of them, and they are awesome.  Because we go directly to the grower the price is substantially less than going through a middleman, or nursery.  No delay either; they are taken out of the ground one day and within a couple days put back into the ground.

Last night when I had finished setting all the emerald green cedars off the trailer, I popped over to look at a little stump that one of our Azure Lynden customers asked me to remove.  Just a little stump, so, although it was around 7 p.m., I got the stump grinder out and went for it.  While I was removing that stump, a neighbor came by to see if I could take a stump out of his back yard.  Sure, what’s another hour, right?

Well, today I am finishing the planting of the emerald green cedars and tomorrow my kids and I are going fishing.  Raining today, so I won’t have to water the emerald green cedars much.

Post about the finish job tonight or tomorrow.
