The recently opened Smart Car Wash at 13589 Minnieville Road in Woodbridge is on the cutting edge of eco-friendly service in the car wash industry.

The original business plan called for providing the best car wash at the best price. However, it turned into a search to combine green technology with the best car wash.

The design and implementation took a dedicated team of professionals years to finalize and obtain the necessary approvals.

One of the unique features is the slanted design of the roof which will capture and provide the Smart Car Wash with 100,000 gallons of rain water annually. Recognition will come in the form of Smart Car Wash becoming the first LEED Certified Car Wash in Virginia.

Using recycled water for car washes is an idea I'm surprised hasn't caught hold before now.  I was out somewhere in the Greater Sacramento region, and saw one of these.  But, I can't remember exactly where.
