Jon...
I never even thought of re-purposing a garage door before but you gave me some food for thought!
Interesting idea. My garage door is aluminum so I think it will always be a garage door but who knows...
I'm going to 'pin' your first picture onto my 're-purposing' board, if you don't mind - it'll link back to this post.
I love it, Jon. I really appreciate those who can see the value in something like that. I always find it impressive when these kinds of creative things pop up.
Michael~ I felt the same way! Thanks

Thanks to Cheryl for the reblog but it is Too late for me! We replaced our old garage doors some time ago. Never would have thought of this clever solution.

I have seen glass panel garage doors used as interior windows that open to great views - lots of creative options. Thanks
Jon:
This is a very creative use of a garage door. I like to see people reusing things in a new way.
Funny-I was just looking at the backsides of our garage doors yesterday. It's an 83 year old house, and each section/panel is solid, and I do mean SOLID, wood. I was thanking my lucky stars there haven't been any problems with them since we've had the place, because they must weigh 500 pounds. But if the time comes, they will be living a second life somewhere in or around the house. As someone who never wastes anything, love the idea!
Thanks for sharing-
Michael
