In Case of Emergency
My friend has found a very cheap land-line provider. An emergency occurred when she had to call 911. The phone number did not come up on the 911 operarator's display and as a result there was a delay in dispatching the ambulance to the home. The operator needed to get clarification on the address from a hysterical caller who had to also provide directions. I know a lot of people now are trying to get by on just their cell phones but this is also not reliable in case of emergency (week signals, dead batteries, etc). I encourage everybody to have a reliable communications provider in case of a life or death situation.
